LA QUINTA — November 3, 2026. La Quinta’s city recycling page lists a free community shredding event for Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 7 to 11 a.m. at the south City Hall parking lot.
A paper disposal service for residents and businesses
The city says the Desert Arc event accepts up to four boxes of documents per vehicle and that residents may keep their boxes. The shredding vehicle has a camera enabling people to observe the process.
Where to find the event
The south City Hall parking lot is accessible from Avenida La Fonda. The city directs people to the current event flyer for on-site traffic and material restrictions.
What not to assume
The city describes this as paper shredding and an e-waste event; it is not automatically an accepted location for solvents, used medical needles or household chemicals. Follow the separate hazardous-waste event calendar for those materials.
